   Christophe RICHARD est né à Mortain dans la Manche.

   A l’âge de treize ans, il découvre le Bouddhisme tibétain à travers différentes lectures.

   Six mois plus tard, il rencontre au Centre bouddhique Kagyu Dzong, à Paris, un jeune lama bhoutanais : Karma GYOURME (1948-).

   
   Christophe RICHARD was born at Mortain.
   At the age of thirteen, he discovered Tibetan Buddhism through different readings.
   Six months later, he met at Kagyu Dzong, the first buddhist center in Paris, a young Bhutanese Lama : Karma Gyurme

   A quatorze ans, Christophe devient l’un des disciples du Vénérable Palden Néhnang PAWO RIMPOTCHE (1912-1991) dont le nom signifie le « Précieux et Glorieux Héros de Néhnang ».
  
   Considéré comme une émanation du Bouddha Amitabha, le Vénérable PAWO RIMPOTCHE vécut en France de 1975 à 1986. En 1982, Sa Sainteté le Quatorzième DALAI-LAMA, lors d’une rencontre à Toulouse, dira de lui qu’il était « l’un des dernier joyaux du Tibet ».


   At fourteen, Christophe became a disciple of the Venerable Palden Nehnang PAWO RIMPOTCHE (1912-1991), whose name means "Precious and Glorious Hero from Nehnang".
   Considered as an emanation of Amitabha Buddha, the Venerable PAWO RIMPOTCHE lived in France from 1975 to 1986. In 1982, His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, during a meeting in Toulouse, said that the Venerable Pawo Rimpotche was "one the last gems of Tibet".

   Très jeune, Christophe a été formé par le Vénérable Néhnang PAWO RIMPOTCHE qui lui a transmis  enseignements et initiations dans la plus pure tradition de l’Ecole Kagyu-pa. Il a pu, par ailleurs, côtoyer les plus grands maîtres du Bouddhisme tibétain, tels Sa Sainteté le XVIème KARMAPA (1924-1981) chef de l’école Kagyu, Sa Sainteté DUDJOM RIMPOTCHE (1904-1987), chef de l’école Nyingma, Sa Sainteté SAKYA TRINDZIN(1945-), chef de l’école Sakya, Son Eminence CHAMAR RIMPOTCHE (1952-2014), Son Eminence DJAMGOEUN KONGTROUL RIMPOTCHE (1954-1992), Son Eminence TAÏ SITOU RINPOTCHE (1954-), KALOU RIMPOTCHE (1905-1989), BOKAR RIMPOTCHE (1940-2004), etc.

   A l’âge de dix-sept ans, Christophe s’est rendu à Dharmsala, en Inde, où il a rencontré Sa Sainteté le DALAI-LAMA et ses deux tuteurs, KYABJE TRIJANG RIMPOTCHE (1900-1981) et KYABKE LING RIMPOCHE (1903-1983).



Premier voyage en Inde à 17 ans

   Very young, Christophe was formed by the Venerable Nehnang PAWO RIMPOTCHE who transmitted to him teachings and initiations in the purest tradition of the Kagyu-pa School. He met, moreover, the greatest masters of Tibetan Buddhism, as His Holiness the sixteenth KARMAPA (1924-1981) head of the Kagyu school, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche (1904-1987), head of the Nyingma School His Holiness SAKYA TRINDZIN (1945-), head of the Sakya school, His Eminence CHAMAR RIMPOTCHE (1952-2014), Son Eminence DJAMGOEUN KONGTROUL RIMPOTCHE (1954-1992), Son Eminence TAÏ SITOU RINPOTCHE (1954-), KALOU RIMPOTCHE (1905-1989), BOKAR RIMPOTCHE (1940-2004)…


   At the age of seventeen, Christophe went to Dharmsala (India), where he met His Holiness the DALAÏ-LAMA and his two teachers KYABJE TRIJANG RIMPOTCHE (1900-1981) et KYABKE LING RIMPOCHE (1903-1983).

   En 1981, Christophe RICHARD débuta des études de philosophie à la Sorbonne (Paris-I).

   Il y rencontra Sarah KOFMAN (1934-1994) qui dirigea ses travaux de Maîtrise sur Le cas Schopenhauer, puis, de D.E.A. et de Doctorat sur La théorie aristotélicienne de la mimèsis poétique.

   In 1981, Christophe RICHARD began studying philosophy at the Sorbonne (Paris-I). There, he met the french philosopher Sarah KOFMAN (1934-1994) and he studied with her.

   Aujourd’hui, Christophe RICHARD professe dans un lycée normand et intervient dans diverses Universités.
  
   Par ailleurs, il diffuse les fondements de la pensée du Bouddha au Centre d’Etude et de Pratique du Bouddhisme tibétain « Dachang Vajradhara-Ling » à Aubry-le-Panthou, dans l’Orne. Il s'y occupe plus particulièrement des néophytes qu'il prépare à la méditation et auprès desquels il joue le rôle de conseiller spirituel.

   Today, Christophe RICHARD teaches philosophy in a School and in various Universities.
  
   Moreover, he teaches the foundations of the thought of the Buddha at the Center for the Study and Practice of Tibetan Buddhism "Dachang Vajradhara-Ling" in Aubry-le-Panthou, Orne. He takes care of neophytes that he prepares them to meditation and he plays also the role of spiritual advisor.
