Très jeune, Christophe a été formé par le Vénérable Néhnang PAWO RIMPOTCHE qui lui a transmis enseignements et initiations dans la plus pure tradition de l’Ecole Kagyu-pa. Il a pu, par ailleurs, côtoyer les plus grands maîtres du Bouddhisme tibétain, tels Sa Sainteté le XVIème KARMAPA (1924-1981) chef de l’école Kagyu, Sa Sainteté DUDJOM RIMPOTCHE (1904-1987), chef de l’école Nyingma, Sa Sainteté SAKYA TRINDZIN(1945-), chef de l’école Sakya, Son Eminence CHAMAR RIMPOTCHE (1952-2014), Son Eminence DJAMGOEUN KONGTROUL RIMPOTCHE (1954-1992), Son Eminence TAÏ SITOU RINPOTCHE (1954-), KALOU RIMPOTCHE (1905-1989), BOKAR RIMPOTCHE (1940-2004), etc.

A l’âge de dix-sept ans, Christophe s’est rendu à Dharmsala, en Inde, où il a rencontré Sa Sainteté le DALAI-LAMA et ses deux tuteurs, KYABJE TRIJANG RIMPOTCHE (1900-1981) et KYABKE LING RIMPOCHE (1903-1983).
